Making little ‘tweaks’ to smooth out any fine lines and wrinkles using Botox and Dermal Fillers
Our ‘tweakments’ are especially perfect for those who have never had any form of anti-wrinkle injections before. By injecting small amounts of Botulinum Toxin Type A (Botox®), dynamic facial wrinkles can be beautifully smoothed to give you a fresher and more youthful appearance. The results are so natural that friends and family may not notice that you have had a treatment but they will most definitely notice that you look great.
Our highly experienced practitioners are experts in creating a subtle, natural look, based on the natural contours of your face. They will create a completely tailored treatment plan using Botox® or Dermal Fillers or a combination of the two, to relax the facial muscles and reduce excessive facial movements in a subtle and natural way without looking frozen. The result will be the smoothing of lines and wrinkles, leaving you with a youthful and positively glowing appearance.
Areas which might need a little expert ‘tweak’ are:
Frown lines are vertical lines which may appear between and above your eyebrow as a result of frowning or simply aging. Over time, the line, which is known as the ‘glabella’, becomes more prominent and can make a person look particularly tired, stressed or even cross. The elimination of frown lines leads to a more rested, fresh and approachable appearance and signs of aging are visibly reduced.
‘Crow’s feet’ are lines and wrinkles around the corners of the eye. Our eyes tell the world how we are feeling and we constantly use them to express ourselves, some even when asleep. The muscle surrounding the eye is called the Orbicularis Oculi and is used whenever we express ourselves either by frowning, squinting, laughing or smiling. This muscle is also responsible for controlling the closing of the eye. When the muscle is activated, it tightens around the eye, pulling the skin forward as the lids close. Over time, this causes Crow’s Feet to form.
As the skin around the eyes is exceptionally thin, wrinkles around the eyes can form fairly early on and since, when we age, our skin becomes less elastic, the decrease in collagen means that the skin is more likely to be fixed in placed with wrinkles and lines visibly showing.
Botox® will smooth out the wrinkles temporarily, leaving you with fresher and younger looking eyes and face.
Often people with naturally-dropping eyelids or low-hanging brows can look tired or washed out.
By using Botox® expertly and selectively to relax some of the muscles surrounding the eye, the dynamic among the facial muscles can be changed. By injecting Botox® into two or three muscles which normally pull the brow down, a ‘brow lift’ can be achieved. The weakening of the Frontalis (brow), through administering Botox®, can also result in a softening of the lines across the forehead.
Lifting the brow, will make eyes look wider, more rested and more youthful.
Horizontal Forehead Lines
Everyday animation and expression can visibly show our horizontal forehead lines. These are the long lines that run across the forehead and which appear when we are surprised or during times of stress. As we age, these lines deepen and become visible even when the face is relaxed.
By injecting Botox® into the Frontalis muscle, we can relax the muscle and significantly reduce and usually eliminate the lines.
Bunnies are cute when they twitch their noses but we are not so, when after years of smiling and ‘twitching’ we are left with deep horizontal wrinkles across the ridge of our nose.
Bunny lines can be treated easily with Botox® when it is precisely administered into the Nasalis muscle on each side of the nose, resulting in a smooth nasal bridge and a more youthful appearance.
Nose to Mouth Lines
Nose to mouth lines, also known as Nasolabial folds, are extremely common and can look particularly aging. Dermal Fillers can be used to soften and contour lines, folds and wrinkles, since they ‘plump’ them up, reducing their appearance and leaving a smoother and visibly more youthful face.
Shark Lines or Shark Gills
These are the lines on the sides of the mouth and the lower cheek area which are caused by smiling and can look particularly aging. Dermal fillers can plump up these areas so that their appearance reverts back to younger years.
As we age, lips gradually become thinner and smaller and fine lines can appear around the outside of the lips. Dermal Fillers can be used to enhance thin lips making them look younger and more sensual with a clearer defined edge. Corners of the mouth can also be subtly lifted to instantly give a more youthful and beautiful shape.
Is Botox® safe?
Yes, Botox® is completely safe in the hands of qualified and trained doctors at W1 Wellness. Botulinum Toxin (Botox®) has been FDA approved and used for medical and cosmetic purposes since 1989 with no adverse effects. Botox® becomes un-safe when it is not carried out by highly qualified practitioners. It is extremely important that any form of anti-wrinkle injectable be administered by highly qualified practitioners in a safe and medical environment.
How does Botox® work?
When you frown and squint, the muscles in your face contract. After years of frequent contraction, combined with environmental and lifestyle factors such as the natural aging process and sun exposure, lines and wrinkles will form and gradually deepen as the aging process continues.
When the muscles in our face move, a message is sent from the brain via the nerves to the muscles telling them to contract. Anti-wrinkle injectables are a natural protein which works by interrupting this process, leaving those muscles unable to crease the skin. The muscles are relaxed by the natural protein, thereby preventing the lines and wrinkles from forming.
